After delivering the initial report, an exhaustive and detailed landscape analysis of current sustainable disclosure frameworks, the client commended the thoroughness and comprehensiveness of our work. However, they expressed a desire for my team to provide instructions or example cases that illustrate how to effectively utilize the intricate tables contained in the report.

Upon reflection, I realized that while composing the deliverable reports, I focused more on an objective and analytical perspective to evaluate the alignment between current disclosure frameworks and the client’s product. However, I overlooked that the primary purpose of this report is to assist client in the practical application of these findings to the companies and projects they will engage with in the future. Furthermore, the client intended to share our deliverables with their "brokers" directly. This necessitates that our work to be a directly applicable commercial deliverable rather than a mere third-party evaluation.

This disparity in the use of the consulting deliverable between myself and the client has offered valuable insight. Previously, I perceived that the role of a consulting agent primarily involved offering third-party advice on problem-solving. However, I now realize that a consulting agent must step into the client's shoes and envision their deliverables as directly facilitating commercial applications for the clients.
