The past few weeks since we first began classes witnessed an evolving change in our classes and set deliverables. The classes are now streamlined to discuss the issues and challenges that each team faces which provides a platform for the class to collectively brainstorm and come up with solutions. And each team got busy deciding on how to navigate their first deliverable.

After our initial client interactions, we embarked on a comprehensive landscape analysis of major climate finance-related disclosures for our first deliverable. This task proved quite demanding due to the sheer number and depth of the reports we had to cover. However, we found that teamwork was the most effective approach to tackle this challenge. Dividing the workload among the four of us, with each of us focusing on five different disclosure frameworks, significantly expedited our analysis.

Once the initial analysis was complete, the next hurdle was determining the project's framework. This step was slightly challenging, as each of us had different analytical approaches, resulting in a lack of consistency in our deliverable report. To address this issue, we transitioned from online meetings to in-person meetings, which facilitated better communication and helped us resolve our differences more effectively, ultimately streamlining the process. Once we had a solid framework in place, the tasks shifted to incorporating our existing analyses into the new report, bringing us closer to delivering the final product to the client.

A pivotal moment in our project occurred during our meetings with the client. The more we engaged with our client, the clearer it became how important it was to understand their expectations and, more crucially, their perspective. We discovered that thinking like our clients and other stakeholders within their organization was essential. As a non-profit dealing with renewable energy credits, our client faces the challenge of persuading buyers to embrace the concept of energy credits and understand how it can enhance their company's sustainability standards. Moreover, the end product must be readily comprehensible to individuals including buyers or stakeholders who lack a finance or sustainability background. Thus, underscoring the significance of considering the readers' perspective when crafting our deliverables and final report.

Furthermore, the rest of the semester reinforced the importance of teamwork, including taking initiative and offering support when one team member had a heavier workload than others. These past few weeks have been an amazing learning experience, and I'm eager to delve deeper into exploring the client's unique selling points, focusing on the environmental and peace impacts of the project, and measuring real-time impact.
